The free Turno alternative for Jobber-using cleaning companies
Turno's a fine product, but if you already run scheduling and invoicing through Jobber, you don't need a second platform. Here's how to get Turno's core automation in Jobber for free.
TL;DR: If you're a cleaning company using Jobber and considering Turno, you probably don't need Turno's scheduling layer at all — your Jobber already covers it once the booking-to-job sync is automated. CleanSync (free Jobber App Store integration) handles that sync without making you run two platforms.
What Turno is good at
Turno (rebranded from TurnoverBnB) is a polished tool for short-term rental hosts and the cleaners who serve them. It offers:
- Host marketplace: hosts can find cleaners in their area through Turno.
- Booking auto-sync: Airbnb / Vrbo / direct-booking iCal feeds get pulled in and turned into cleaning jobs.
- Cleaner dispatch + photo proof: jobs get assigned, cleaners check in, photos are uploaded as evidence.
- Host-side payment: hosts pay cleaners through the Turno platform.
- Multi-host management for cleaning companies serving multiple Airbnb operators.
If you're a host with one or two properties and no existing scheduling tool, Turno is a reasonable choice. The host-side features are well-built.
Where Turno gets awkward for cleaning companies on Jobber
If you're a cleaning company rather than a host, and you already use Jobber for the rest of your business, Turno creates duplication:
| What you do in Jobber | What Turno wants to also do |
|---|---|
| Crew dispatch (visit on cleaner's schedule) | Crew dispatch (different schedule) |
| Customer history (jobs per client) | Cleaner history (jobs per host) |
| Invoicing + payments | Host-side payment |
| Service line items + pricing | Cleaning fees, set per-host |
| Job notes + customer communication | In-app messaging |
You end up checking two apps to see your week's work. STR turnovers live in Turno; residential cleanings live in Jobber. Your crews need accounts on both. Your invoicing is split across two systems.
If your book is STR-only, that's tolerable. If your book is mixed (STR + residential / commercial / move-out / etc.), it's bad — Jobber stays the source of truth for everything except the STR turnovers, which now live somewhere else and create reporting blind spots.
What you actually need
In most cases, the only thing Turno adds for a Jobber-using cleaning company is the booking-to-job sync. Everything else (dispatch, invoicing, crew management, customer history) is already in Jobber and arguably better there.
So the question becomes: how do you get Airbnb / Vrbo bookings into Jobber without taking on the second platform?
How CleanSync solves the same problem
CleanSync is a free integration in the Jobber App Store that does the one specific thing Turno's scheduling layer does — turn iCal bookings into Jobber jobs — and leaves the rest of your Jobber workflow untouched.
- Install from the Jobber App Store (free).
- For each STR rental: paste the Airbnb or Vrbo iCal URL, pick the host's Jobber client record, set the cleaning time and crew. ~2 min per property.
- From the next sync: every booking on that calendar becomes a scheduled Jobber job automatically. Cancellations close the matching job. Reschedules move the visit.
There's no host-side experience — CleanSync runs entirely on the cleaning company's side. The host doesn't know it exists; you just stop manually entering jobs.
Detailed setup is in the quick-start docs. The full cancellation / reschedule behavior is in how CleanSync handles cancellations and reschedules.
How they compare (side-by-side)
| Dimension | Turno | CleanSync |
|---|---|---|
| Booking → cleaning job | ✅ (own scheduler) | ✅ (writes into Jobber) |
| Lives inside Jobber | ❌ (separate platform) | ✅ (Jobber App Store integration) |
| Mixed STR + non-STR book | ❌ awkward (two platforms) | ✅ (only touches STR jobs) |
| Host marketplace | ✅ | ❌ |
| Photo proof / check-in | ✅ | Use Jobber's built-in (✅) |
| Cleaner payments | Through Turno | Through Jobber (your existing flow) |
| Pricing (cleaning company) | Tiered, varies by plan | Free |
| Setup time | ~30 min (new account, properties, cleaners, services) | ~2 min per property |
| Crew has to learn a new tool | ✅ (Turno cleaner app) | ❌ (their existing Jobber schedule) |
Who should still use Turno
CleanSync isn't a 1:1 Turno replacement. Stick with Turno if:
- You're a host (not a cleaning company) and you don't have a relationship with a cleaning vendor yet.
- You don't use Jobber and have no other scheduling/invoicing tool. Turno-as-everything is fine in that case.
- You specifically need host-side photo proof and your cleaners aren't set up for it on the Jobber side.
- You want a host marketplace to find cleaning customers — that's Turno's strong suit and CleanSync doesn't replicate it.
Who should switch (or never start with Turno)
CleanSync is the right call if:
- You already use Jobber for scheduling, invoicing, crew management.
- Your book is mixed (STR + residential / commercial) and you don't want STR work fragmented into a separate system.
- You're a cleaning company adding STR clients and would rather not run two platforms from day one.
- You'd rather not pay for what's essentially a calendar-sync feature on top of a tool (Jobber) you already pay for.
Migrating from Turno
If you're currently on Turno and considering switching:
- Install CleanSync free from the Jobber App Store.
- For each host you currently serve via Turno, get their Airbnb / Vrbo iCal URL (same URL Turno uses on their backend — your host can share it with you directly, or pull it from the Airbnb host dashboard if you have access).
- Add each as a Property in CleanSync. Future bookings start syncing into Jobber immediately.
- Manually clear out Turno once the parallel-run shows no missed bookings — usually 2-3 weeks is enough to confirm the iCal sync is working cleanly across cancellations + reschedules.
- Cancel the Turno subscription.
The migration cost is mostly the trust-building period — you're swapping a "Turno told me about this booking" notification for "Jobber has this booking on my schedule". Once that lands, Turno becomes redundant.
Try it free
CleanSync installs from the Jobber App Store in under two minutes. There's no subscription. If you have Jobber and STR cleaning clients, it pays for itself by the first turnover you don't have to manually enter.

Frequently asked
- What does Turno do?
- Turno (formerly TurnoverBnB) is a marketplace + scheduling tool connecting short-term rental hosts with cleaning providers. It handles booking-sync, cleaner dispatch, photo proof, and host-side payment. Plans currently start around $8/property/month for hosts; cleaning company features layer on top.
- Why would a Jobber-using cleaning company want a Turno alternative?
- If you already use Jobber for scheduling, invoicing, crew dispatch, and customer history, Turno duplicates work. Two platforms means double data entry, two notification streams, and you can't see STR jobs and non-STR jobs on the same crew calendar.
- Is CleanSync really free, or is there a paid tier?
- Free. CleanSync is a Jobber App Store integration with no subscription fee. You pay your existing Jobber bill; CleanSync adds STR booking sync to that without any additional cost.
- Can CleanSync do everything Turno does?
- No. Turno offers host-side features (host marketplace, host-side payment, photo proof, cleaner discovery) that CleanSync doesn't replicate. CleanSync does the scheduling automation layer specifically — turning Airbnb / Vrbo bookings into Jobber jobs — and lets Jobber handle invoicing, dispatch, and crew management.
- Does CleanSync work if the host uses Turno?
- Yes — Turno doesn't lock the iCal feed. The host can use Turno for their own purposes and still share the Airbnb / Vrbo iCal URLs with you for CleanSync. There's no conflict.
