Quick start: install CleanSync and add your first rental
Five minutes from install to your first auto-created cleaning job. What to expect at each step.
You can be live in five minutes. Here's the path.
1. Install from the Jobber App Store
From inside Jobber, open the Apps page and click Install on CleanSync. Authorize the scopes Jobber prompts for — clients, jobs, scheduled items, and users. CleanSync uses these to read your customers, create cleaning jobs, place visits on the schedule, and pick a crew member.
When OAuth completes, Jobber sends you back to cleansync.io/app — the CleanSync settings dashboard. You're done with the install step.
2. Set your defaults (optional, takes 60 seconds)
Before adding any rentals, scroll to Defaults for new rentals and set:
- How long the clean takes (default: 4 hours)
- Default service name (default: "STR Turnover Clean")
- Email for problem alerts — where you want to be notified if a calendar breaks
Anything you set here gets pre-filled when you add a new rental. You can override per rental later.
3. Add a rental
Click Add a rental. Fill in:
- Customer in Jobber — pick the host who owns the property. CleanSync creates jobs under this customer.
- Address — pick which of the customer's addresses goes on the cleaning job. Leave blank to use the customer's main address.
- Nickname — what you call the property internally. Shows up in Jobber job titles ("STR Cleaning for Lakeview Cabin").
- Airbnb iCal URL and/or Vrbo iCal URL — paste at least one. (Where to find Airbnb's URL, Where to find Vrbo's URL.)
- Cleaning window — when the clean should land relative to checkout.
- Crew member — who gets assigned to the cleaning visit.
Click Save.
4. What happens next
CleanSync runs a sync within a few minutes. On the next sync (and every hour after), CleanSync:
- Fetches the iCal feed.
- Reads each future booking.
- Creates a Jobber job for any new booking it hasn't seen before.
- Updates jobs whose dates moved.
- Closes jobs whose bookings were cancelled. (How cancellations and reschedules work.)
You'll see new jobs appear under the customer in Jobber. The visit lands on your team's schedule on the cleaning date.
5. Verify with a test booking
On the rental's card, click Send a test booking. CleanSync creates a synthetic booking 3 days from now, runs it through the full pipeline, and you should see a "Test Cleaning" job appear in Jobber within a minute. Cancel the test job from Jobber when you're satisfied it worked.

What to do this week
- Add the rest of your hosts' rentals.
- Set the cleaning window per rental if any are non-standard.
- Make sure the alert email is one you actually check.
Real bookings start syncing on the next hour boundary. You don't have to babysit it.
